Kindly note that I've recently created new posts for sharing videos per body part:

Chest videos http://www.healthfitnessindia.com/forum/topics/chest-exercises-fitness-bodybuilding-workout-health-fitness-india

Shoulders videos http://www.healthfitnessindia.com/forum/topics/shoulders-exercises-bodybuilding-workouts-health-fitness-india

Back videos http://www.healthfitnessindia.com/forum/topics/back-exercises-bodybuilding-workouts-health-fitness-india

New posts for videos of other body parts would be added soon.

I wouldn't be updating this post anymore:

In the comments of this post, I'll keep sharing videos of certified trainers using fitness machines for bodybuilding / exercising / weightlifting / working out. I might even spend an hour or even a few hours to search, read, and watch videos to find those of certified trainers and also of quality. I wish that they would save time of several other people.

I also suggest to read "You MUST Research health and fitness inputs given by family, friends and others" http://www.healthfitnessindia.com/forum/topics/you-must-research-health-fitness-inputs-given-by-family-friends in regards to when getting inputs from others and also for getting professional help from a certified trainer at least when doing a new fitness exercise / workout.

Best!

  • Deads are great. Definitely the best tool. For years I have done 500 lbs plus 5x5 but is finally catching up. I'm developing lordosis of the spine. Don't be afraid to light them up or skip them from time to time. Be smart be safe.

  • Today I started at a new gym! I would be getting six days a week of personal training from a national level bodybuilder and that his students would assist in the same. I just searched for the Dumbbell Pullover exercise video and that I found this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_3TJ_x-kzg which seems nice. At the end of my workout, I was made to do the Dumbbell Pullover exercise and that as the video suggests, the exercise seems to be forgotten since I didn't do them during the last two months with my other personal trainer who's also nice. Today, I was made to do legs and back and that I was made to do this exercise at the end like the video suggests. Actually I had felt uneasiness in my elbows while doing it because the trainer had told me to keep the arms extended throughout, however, the video suggests to bend them for not possibly injuring the elbows. I do realize that I should've bent elbow a bit more if not as much as the video. The head trainer had watched me for squats, however, he had assigned his trainers for the other exercises. The other trainers also seem nice and that perhaps the trainer didn't realize to mention about bending the elbow a bit even though he might be doing it correctly and that I'll mention the same to him.

I do think that the value of personal training is in performing the technique correctly throughout the session including by getting personal assistance as and when required. Perhaps this was my first day and that over the while, the amount of weights and several other things would be figured out for me which I think is also the value of getting personal training. At the end of the workout, the head trainer also saw my upper body without the shirt and that told me that I've to reduce a lot of the fat and that I wish that I would do that well through his training. I do think from some experience that adding power and mass (at least to a limit probably also depending on individual genetics) might not be as difficult as having an overall excellent body to one's maximum potential and that those in India who aspire to be like the best international athletes (since very few are at that level) would require an overall excellent body and that for which I wish that they get the best of gear, training, nutrition, rest, and anything else required. I look forward to the next session! Best! Shakti Saran
