Someone asked about my advertising work's deliverables including with numbers.

Then I realized I should stop/remove the things which I've been doing for that person in goodwill and when I can then come up with a newer quotation (most likely much higher than the first one) to include much more specifically the value that I would deliver and also mention the things I did as goodwill as part of deliverables. I think as business, it would be acceptable by this person to receive as per quotation and nothing less or more. I wish this person the best!

My initial advertising work proposal PDF for this person includes:

Hi ,

Thank You for letting me share my advertising proposal for you.

I'm sure you realize that advertising has to keep going on to retain and grow clients.

Moreover, the advertising expense needs to be appropriate to the expected revenues.

I have a large and growing social and professional network through LinkedIn, Google+ and Facebook. I have over 3000 connections on LinkedIn several of who are Directors, VPs, Owners and Senior Professionals including in Delhi area and which is growing.

I have created a variety of increasingly valuable sites including www.healthfitnessindia.com , www.healthfitnessindia.in , www.spasandsalonsindia.com , www.careerpartner.in , www.fashiondesignersindia.com (launched few days ago) , www.umbrasecurity.com and others.

I'm launching two e-Commerce sites this month, one in India (local market for now in Delhi area) and another in USA (global market).

My sites are indexed increasingly well by the search engines and several of my site pages come on the 1st page of search engines. This helps me to keep growing my audiences.

To do your advertising work, I suggest doing these things:

1. Share in relevant Facebook groups including those related to the class/workshop locations

2. Share through my LinkedIn, Google+ and Facebook profiles, pages and groups

3. Share through my sites in different ways

My above efforts can get you a growing online presence for the short to long term and which should increasingly help you in retaining and growing clients.

My fees for the next 6 months will be only 1500 INR per month which is about 50 INR per day. I would say that this will be one of your best investments for your work. As you'll get value from my efforts and would want more then I would offer more valuable ideas to you.

I suggest that you start for one month with me and if for any reason that you aren't satisfied then you can discontinue my service. If you're ready to start then I'll message you my bank details. I look forward to being of increasing value to you.

Best Regards,
Shakti

Valuable inputs which we consider when doing your social media optimization work so that you can focus on your core work for keep building and growing it:

Here are some tips if you are building or plan to build a like acquisition campaign on Facebook.

  1. Start by targeting audiences that have a high affinity for your product. These campaigns will have small reach but will tend to have the best CTRs and conversion rates.
  2. Build out broadly targeted audiences to get additional traffic but do not bid on them too aggressively. This will help you scale initially while you build out your campaigns.
  3. Build new segments that are similar to the segments that are working well initially. In the above example one would go from targeting extreme geeks to geeks.
  4. Focus on improving ad copies for those campaigns that have a low CTR but high conversion rate.
  5. Leverage Sponsored Stories, especially when you already have many fans. Sponsored Stories leverage the virality inherent in Facebook and can help you acquire Fans at a significantly lower CPL. I have seen several instances where sponsored stories have helped Facebook like acquisition campaigns scale without compromising on CPL.
  6. CTRs of ads on Facebook will drop if they are not changed regularly. I have discussed this in detail in a previous post. To prevent this problem, I recommend you constantly test new ad copy and so that new copies are ready to go when your current ads CTRs start to decline.
  7. There are times when broad targeting can work better than highly targeted segments. If your brand or service has a large social audience, Facebook appears to do a better job targeting than it would if you targeted to small segments. Hence, it is always worth experimenting with a broadly reaching campaign.

Following these steps will help you scale your campaigns without compromising on CPL.

A friend who's a martial art business owner (recently started) and a practitioner of martial arts like Muay Thai, Pekiti-Tirsia Kali, Kung Fu, Karate and others just called.

He has asked me for professionally marketing his martial art school business which is awesome! I've been informally sharing with him on marketing for a while and have also got him clients including a large one. One of the things that I'll be doing is to bring sportspeople and athletes in groups to him or he to them like at stadiums so that they can also gain from martial arts based training. I wish him and his wife who also works with me as a graphics designer having around eight years of experience the best!

Highly Unfortunate! He told me about serious issues due to which he thinks that we've had Kedarnath catastrophe and that other such and much worse things might happen in future. I think that such things happen because the majority is much below their maximum human potential. Why are we making ourselves and others weak? Why do we accept to have filth and animals on streets? Let's support and guide each other including to make our society and environment like the best! Imagine a great society, environment and world! Best!

On the marketing front, Shah says, “We are coming up with innovative offers and executing new store launches. We are also tying up with college fests. With the introduction of new, eccentric and inventive styles that infuse ground breaking trends there has been a significant change in demand. For instance, teaming up a pair of denims with a formal shirt launches Pepe Jeans in the work wear category of attires as well." Sooooo… What Makes A Good Optimized Landing Page?

The goal of creating an optimized landing page is to create a page that works great for both PPC and SEO purposes. If your organically optimized page isn’t a good landing page for conversions, then you’re throwing away good money. You want just as good a conversion rate for organic traffic as you get for paid traffic.

There are some cases where it makes better sense to deliver PPC traffic to a non-optimized page — one designed specifically for paid traffic. However for most situations, you should be able to drop your paid traffic onto your optimized pages and see a strong result. The key is to make sure that you don’t drop them on a page that has only been optimized for rankings, but on one that has been optimized for conversions. Here is what you need:

From what I've learned with my link builders, there are a few signs that someone will be fantastic at the job:

  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Curiosity about anything and everything.
  • Awesome organizational skills.
  • Creative mind.
  • A really, really hard work ethic.
  • The ability to understand why we build links.
  • Willingness to try new techniques and listen to feedback.

The things that are red flags to me? A person who is easily frustrated and complains early on that link building is too hard.

Link building is hard. It's one of the most tedious things I've ever done in my SEO career and if you're going to get upset and give up easily, I don't see you having a big future in link building.

Why Build Links?

whyWhile I could argue that we could train a link builder to be successful without fully explaining much about why people build links, it's ridiculous not to give your link builders the knowledge of why links matter. The more they know, the better they'll perform.

However, in a few cases, some link builders almost got too overwhelmed with thinking about the potential SEO benefits and implications of what they were doing. While they did build some great links, they also overthought things to the extent that they weren't as efficient as they needed to be.

Still, I don't enjoy doing something when I'm not told why I should be doing it. Giving your link builders the respect of explaining why their efforts matter is critical, especially if you want them to enjoy what they do.

How to Look at a Site's Backlinks

There are a lot of free link check tools, and some paid ones have free versions or trials. Have your link builders find one that they like and that fits your budget.

Google and Bing also report inbound links in their respective Webmaster Tools consoles, but they don't show nearly as many as a proper link tool will.

Link builders need to be trained on how to run at least a basic report so they can see a site's backlinks, look at the anchor text and metrics, etc.

Link builders need to know how to distinguish between number of links total and unique linking domains, too. That has been an area of confusion both to clients and link builders starting out, so take a look at where you can find that information in the tools that I list below.
