Parenting doesn’t begin only after child’s birth, instead, it begins the moment you realize you have taken in as a mother. This is because whatever your child becomes or whatever care and health implications he either enjoy or suffers eventually are consequences of the good or bad he has experienced from the point of pregnancy to childbirth and through infancy to adulthood. In fact, the perfect time to guide against diseases in children, so as to avoid stress and complications that could later result to disease control such as experienced in potty training autistic child and others are in the pregnancy to birth. A happier and healthier and child can be accomplished through pregnancy to birth if these could be ensured;

Watch food intake

Watching food intake is like helping yourself and the baby as well. Some foods will give you birth complications and may consequently spell doom for the baby as they contain substances that make the babies as well as you gain more than normal weight. You must ensure to keep your blood sugar level up eating whole, healthy and protein-rich food. You are not supposed to eat in bulk as well and therefore you must ensure to eat small and frequent meals throughout the day. Try to vary your diet as much as possible as well. And above all, be conscious of the fact that the baby is eating directly from whatever you take in although it may have passed through some internal processes. This might also give you extra carefulness and consciousness about things you ingest.

Keep a hydrated system

Even when you are not pregnant, no one can underestimate the digestive as well as the all-around importance of water in the human system. Even when you are nauseated and struggle to keep water down, help yourself by adding a teaspoon of sugar and a pinch of salt into it. This will magically and quickly rehydrate you and ease you more of your nausea.

Take plenty rests

Your body is now functioning much more than when you are the only creature to work for. You are now a two in one. This would create some form of discomfort and maybe strange feelings sometimes. This might include getting unnecessarily tired. When this is the case, take enough rest and pace yourself. Take naps as often as you can. Get to bed early and rise late. Get the rest at every slight opportunity, and you’ll be as strong as ever.

Stay confident to you

Search for positive information about pregnancies and childbirth. Try as much as possible to avoid birth horror stories people would tell you. Trust me, your body knows how to birth because it is a natural phenomenon. If you would have to listen to horror birth stories, invite the person only after you have given birth to your baby. There are ways you could be pinned down with things you hear.

Secure the service of a midwife

Even when you wouldn’t want to be a candidate for homebirth or a midwife attended the birth, it is advisable, to begin with the service of a midwife. She would spend much time with you, feed you information and tips about your body and pregnancy care as well as ease you of stress as a company. She would most probably be your best confidant in pregnancy if she is really a great professional. She would advise on OB transfers if needed.

Secure a psychologist, doula or emotional caregiver

Pregnancy could sometimes give you mood swings and emotional discomfort. At that moment, you need someone really close to you as an emotional comfort. Even when you have issues that cannot be discussed with your primary caregivers, she could be the best bet for such. Even when you have a midwife, she is more of a support still.

Adopt Careful and Speculative dating

This is to avoid possible pressure from people. Whenever you have to tell anyone about your pregnancy, add at least two weeks to the official dates you are given. This gives you more realistic dates to hold as well as spare you of post-due-date syndrome where relatives could be after your due dates. Any worry you face would affect the baby as well.

Ask questions about tests and treatments

Yes, doctors are professionals but try to ask questions when a test or procedure is recommended for you. Try to know what the test is all about, how you will use the information, know if there are alternatives and possible side effects. You might be helping yourself out of some issues the doctor doesn’t have an idea of about you. More so, there are potential side effects for most tests you do include ultrasounds. It will be good you know.

Get educated on pregnancy

Because you are not always in this condition, you might not be fully aware of steps to take in helping both yourself and the baby. Thus, you have to be educated on a wide range of things to do or not to try out during the pregnancy regimes. This is really important.

Be careful of the choice of people around you

When in pregnancy, you need help as you cannot help yourself in everything. Because of this, you have to be sure the ones you have chosen as your assistance though close to you must be committed to helping you and with utmost sincerity void of evil intentions. They must help you to find your way through labor, birth and privacy as birth is not a social occasion. You are not obligated to have anyone you are not confident of around you because you want to be the best mother for your child. Whatever happens to you in indirectly happening to the baby.

Pregnancy could be a very easy phase and a really complicated regime for you. It all depends on your approach to it, but as a good mother who cares ultimately for good health and sound system for her baby, it is a time to take seriously and carefully as parenting starts exactly from there.
