1) Get proper sleep

Ayurveda is just the way of living naturally, and seeking the help of nature. What's more natural than sleep? When our ancestors existed, their bedtime followed shortly after sunset. But the modern technology has made it impossible to get a good night's sleep. Modern research says inadequate sleep can contribute to weight gain. The best thing to do is to maintain harmony with the sun's cycles, and go to sleep by 10pm and wake up by 6pm

2) Don't forget to exercise

Ideal period to exercise could be 6-10am which is when the elements of water and earth are high. These when combined create a mild calmness. We're sure you'd have experienced these when you wake up and go out early in the morning! Ayurveda suggests frequet exercises that must begin with Surya Namaskara!

3) No snacks please!

If you ask Ayurvedic doctors, they'd certainly ask you to cut out your snacks. Only after some three hours of food will your body start burning fat to generate energy for the body. If you happen to eat in between, the body will only fetch required calories from the snack! Ayurveda suggests three meals a day with proper time gaps and no snacks!

4) Bring in all the tastes

Ayurveda distincts tastes into six types : Salty, sour, bitter, sweet, astringent and pungent. If you want too feel satiated with your meal, you must have a little amount of all tastes in your meal.

 5) Largest meal in between

Yes, your largest meal of the day should be in between breakfast and dinner, that is lunch! It's best to have it in the noon. Ayurveda says you are what you digest. This time is when it can be done the best

6) Drink hot water throughout your day

Hot water has always been apart of Ayurvedic treatment. Since the Vedic tradition, it has held great importance for obvious reasons. Hot water helps relieve stress and particularly help in losing abdominal weight! Drink hot water or tea every now and then.

Ayurveda is a great gift to mankind. Make sure you use it well even for your weight loss issues!
