Get the Endoscopic Composite Facelift

Endoscopic composite facelift is where endoscopic technique is used in facial cosmetic surgery. Forehead rejuvenation with the technique is a reliable method for both the surgeons and patients. Just like the composite facelift procedure gained popularity, the use of an endoscope for facial surgery procedures is gaining momentum.

What is an endoscopic composite facelift?

The endoscopic composite facelift surpasses all other facelift techniques. Your recovery from the procedure may be longer but you can be assured of long lasting results that look natural. The concept on which composite facelift is based is that facial aging happens in a dynamic manner which affects your face as a universal unit. This makes it important that your face is treated as a whole and not various independent parts.

The traditional facelift does not take this into consideration giving you a facelifted appearance.

What is the difference between a traditional and composite facelift?

Where the previous procedures repositioned tissue horizontally, the composite procedure counters the natural descent of your face with the use of vertical and true lift. The strongest direction of lift takes place upwards towards your eye. Another important difference between the two is treating the lower eyelid area.

When you get the endoscopic composite facelift, here are some more benefits you will enjoy:

  • Smooth neck and jawline – the extra fat can be removed from the neck area with the procedure. Some more fat can be eliminated from the jawline and the muscle bands present in the middle area of the neck once these are sutured tight.
  • Lateral sweep – usually after the traditional facelift, patients will find that the lower face is stretched. By lifting the skin and underlying muscles in a vertical fashion, composite facelift avoids this distortion. All SMAS facelifts may not lead to this lateral sweep, but they do result in that unnatural pulled appearance on your face. This happens because of the way SMAS horizontally repositions a tight jawline. It lasts longer and is much stronger than the horizontal repositioning that happens on the remaining facial tissue like the cheeks.

How to prepare for a facelift

How to prepare for a facelift

The facelift surgery normally takes between two to four hours for completion. For multiple and extensive treatment, the doctor may perform the surgery in two different sessions. Some surgeons can work on one side of the face while others can work on the two sides at once. If you want to achieve the best results from the surgery, you should keep the following in mind.

Consultation

When you go to see the surgeon for consultation, the surgeon will discuss with you about the area you want to improve and you should ask about the procedures available and the results to expect from them. It is also recommended if you take time to understand what the facelift is capable of accomplishing. When you understand everything about the facelift procedure, it will save you against disappointment and dissatisfaction that may be the result of the procedure. As a patient, you should also ask the doctor about experience and qualifications.

The right candidate for the facelift

The best candidate is the person with realistic expectations who can follow the advice of the plastic surgeon. There is no limitation of age for someone who wants to get the procedure. The doctor will consider the texture and skin condition compared to taking your age into consideration. After the consultation, you will be advised, if you are the right candidate, to get the facelift or if you may want to get an alternative rhytidectomy procedure instead.

You are the right candidate to get a facelift if you have the following characteristics:

Skin elasticity: the optimal facelift candidate is the person who has skin which has retained flexibility. This is because the facelift will stretch facial skin in order to remove wrinkles.

Strong bone structure: the optimal facelift candidate has a well-defined underlying bone which can provide support and also contribute to satisfying results. The patients who have weak features can benefit from facial implants as alternatives of addition to the face lift.

Good health: to get the best results, you have to be healthy and have no pre existing medical conditions.

Why do men prefer Botox?

Why do men prefer Botox?

With time, men are getting as interested as women in rejuvenation procedures and cosmetic surgery. More and more men are turning to Botox treatment. Men are opting for the injection since there has been a vast change in how people view cosmetic procedures today. Where earlier it was only a woman’s arena, men are today openly opting for procedures that help them enhance their appearance. Men are self-conscious and know what kind of changes they desire.

What is Botox and how will it work for you?

Botox is basically a muscle relaxant since it works on the muscles which make facial expressions like frowning and smiling. The drug is obtained from botulinum toxin A and is a purified protein. A small and diluted dose of Botox is injected into the muscle to be treated. This blocks the nerve signals to the muscles. Since the muscle does not receive signals anymore, it stays relaxed and this in turns causes fine lines and wrinkles to soften. This also prevents the formation of any new lines on your face for a while.

Your Botox treatment will be comfortable and most patients only report a slight stinging sensation from the injection. You will see your results emerge within a week from your treatment and these will usually last for about 6 months.

Side effects of Botox

Some men may see slight bruising and swelling at the site of injection after their Botox treatment. These are minor symptoms though which resolve on their own within a few days or even hours. Some may see serious allergic reaction, though this is rare. Some adverse reactions to Botox include chest pain, itching, rashes on the skin and difficulty in breathing or swallowing. In such cases, you must contact your doctor immediately.

Benefits of Botox for men

Men usually suffer from deep creases on the forehead and Botox will help soften these. You will not look tired anymore with lesser lines on your face. Heavy wrinkles on the face and crow’s feet near your eyes can also be eliminated with Botox treatment.

17 facts and myths about great skin

By increasing blood flow, exercise helps nourish skin cells and keep them vital. "Blood carries oxygen and nutrients to working cells throughout the body, including the skin," says dermatologist Ellen Marmur, MD, author of Simple Skin Beauty: Every Woman's Guide to a Lifetime of Healthy, Gorgeous Skin and associate professor of dermatology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. In addition to providing oxygen, blood flow also helps carry away waste products, including free radicals, from working cells. Contrary to some claims, exercise doesn't detoxify the skin. The job of neutralizing toxins belongs mostly to the  liver. "But by increasing blood flow, a bout of exercise helps flush cellular debris out of the system," Marmur tells WebMD. "You can think of it as cleansing your skin from the inside."

Exercise has also been shown to ease stress. "And by decreasing stress, some conditions that can be exacerbated by stress can show some improvement," says Brian B. Adams, MD, associate professor and director of the Sports Dermatology Clinic at the University of Cincinnati. Conditions that can improve when stress is reduced include acne and  eczema. Although researchers are still investigating the link between stress and skin, studies show that the sebaceous glands, which produce oil in the skin, are influenced by stress hormones.

I thought of starting this blog post after the following experience. Like how a suggestion from a friend helped me, I wish that this blog post including the comments would be of value to people. Most of the following isn't related to improving facial skin quality (do see the comments below for skin related updates):

I started going to gym in my apartment complex. During evening, I went to salon in my apartment complex. The owner is my friend. I asked about (glycerin + gulab jal + lemon) mix to apply on face for several pimples that have come on my face. He said I should try it. He also said to drink Safi. I said that I'm looking for a new gym since not working out regularly in recent weeks has probably also brought several pimples. He said that why don't I go to the one in my apartment complex. I said that I'll check it out which I did and they've serviced the equipment only a week ago. It's fine and moreover it saves my time a lot which I can use for dance class that I've wanted to join for a long while. Also, I've always wanted to go to gym twice in a day with cardio in morning and weight training in evening which I can try to do now much better.

After checking out the gym, I went to the salon and asked my friend to come along with me to workout on which the person said that the society doesn't allow them for which I felt very upset. I said I would try to speak with society management on which the person said that it has already been discussed. I wish this person can exercise regularly. I'm very thankful to this person for the suggestion. I also keep giving this person my suggestions on marketing and other things. I wish that we can be of value to each other for the long term.

I also spoke to a yoga teacher who had held a class for ladies in the community center. He's trying to setup a power yoga class for males and which I'm looking forward to if the batch can be made.

Best,
Shakti
