You can choose several numbers of equipments based of your preference by just clicking on the website. But you need to pay some extra attention while shopping via online because there are some fake websites available which makes money from you. Always try to search and purchase athletic gears from a well known company. Now let’s see a brief detail about one of the most stimulating events in track and field called discus..

The discus throw brings in to mind the reflection of ancient Greek participants trying their ability on the rises of Olympus. A disc is the main equipments in discuss throw. Hi All,

I'd like to thank Mr. Gurnit Singh Dua, Founder of The Fitness Factory www.thefitnessfactory.co.in, to consent for the interview with the Health and Fitness India network. Our Q&A are as follows:

1. Why did you decide to enter the fitness industry?

I was studying in England, and was impressed by how health conscious Britishers were. Whether it was hitting the gym regularly, or playing outdoor sports like football and rugby or even going for activities with their friends and families like hiking , trekking but fitness was something which was a part of their everyday life.

I was hooked onto body building as a result and started visiting the local gym in Bristol, UK.

My personality was totally transformed from a bulky 97 kgs to a super fit muscular guy weighing 76 kgs at 5'11 height.

I came back to india, and almost immediately started India's first professionally managed personal training company, The Fitness Factory (www.thefitnessfactory.co.in) and there has been no looking back since then (2005).

2. What are your specialities as a fitness professional?

I have several qualifications in Fitness and experience of over 10 years in Fitness / fitness studies .

I am certified by –

International Sports Science Association (ISSA)

Pilates Institute of America (PIA)

Fitworx as a Gym and Aerobics Trainer

American Heart Association in Heartsaver First Aid

Gayo Fitnesse in CPR and AED course

I am the founder of India's first professionally managed Personal Training academy: The Fitness Factory (www.thefitnessfactory.co.in)

Furthermore, I am also the academics manager/representative of various reputed institutes like International Sports Science Association (ISSA), Pilates Institute of America (PIA), and American Heart Association (AHA) in Delhi/NCR, vide Gayo Fitnesse, Mumbai and I have helped several hundreds of trainers get their certification.

I am also actively involved in promoting various other fitness services as ZUMBA, Body Pump, Kick boxing and has also tied up with World tae kwon do federation in promoting martial arts.

My clientele include various top gyms like Golds’, Fitness First, Fuel, muscle magic.

I have personally trained over several hundred people (including the American embassy, Unitech MD Mr. Sanjay Chandra, ICT CEO Ms Himani Kapila, Bollywood actress Zoa Morani and various other prominent businessmen, lawyers, cabin crew, etc.) helping them achieve the desired goals.

I have also provided consultancy to the INS (Naval Academy, Delhi) for up gradation of their equipment and sports surfaces.

I contribute regularly to Mail Today newspaper.

3. What's a great piece of advise that you've given to a client?

Always take one step at a time and stay focused (You can only achieve the desired result if and only if you have an aim, a "LAKSHYA")

4. Can you please share any major mistakes that fitness professionals make?

- Being Presumptive

- Not being on time for their sessions (either at home/gym) and worst not informing the client

- Not dressing/smelling appropriately

- Overconfidence and not being open to the idea that one could know more than them also

- Pushing the clients too much (where it could be dangerous)

5. Where do you see yourself professionally in the next five and ten years from now?

I would like to see myself training the trainers on a PAN INDIA level in more than one disciplines and improving the level of Fitness / fitness sciences or fitness relates services here in India.

I would also want to start something where I could train all fitness trainers / professionals the art of effective communication with not just their clients but also their peers / subordinates and/or bosses.

Gym, Republic Day (India) [26th Jan 2012]

My post and some comments on my Facebook
https://www.facebook.com/slateandchalk.net/posts/331206503579241

Shakti Saran

Our apartment's president is a nice leader. I went to my gym in C.P., however, when I reached there, it was closed with a notice that today it would close at 5pm. I returned and that saw some people in the apartment's park. One of them called me to help setup the park (decorate with flags etc.) for the Republic Day function. I said that I'm very busy and that I would rather hire helpers do this and that tell them what to do. They did have some helpers but I saw the President going along with a helper giving the flag at appropriate distance from each other to be stapled to a ribbon hung across the park. I told the president that a Prime Minister and a President would've others setup the parade, however, my conscience says that I should help even if a bit and so I helped our apartment's president with stapling the flags. Then the president had to leave and that then I left as well and that I also complimented the president of being a nice leader. I also said that I haven't done such probably in a very long while and that I'm so used to doing most everything with my computer including generating related ideas but not doing things like such. If I hadn't gone to the gym then most likely I wouldn't have got this opportunity! Moreover, the person who called me to help setup the park, I asked where're the person's children on which the person responded that they're in the apartment. Perhaps, they're busy and that I would've also been but then I got this opportunity!

P. A. likes this.

Shakti Saran Thank You P. A.!

P. A. Infact I also like doing same kind of work, but never got an opportunity to do this.

Shakti Saran

Hi P. A., That's alright if you haven't got such an opportunity yet. Many times, things just happen and that one should try to make the best of whatever that happens and that which I think can best happen when the person also has a positive mindset. So, besides our knowledge, skills, experience, and anything else, we should also have a positive mindset for when such opportunities arrive. I wish that you would get all the opportunities that you wish for! Of course, what you do with the opportunities would depend on several things, however, I wish that you would always keep a positive mindset! Also, just like the President and the Prime Minister might not directly setup the parade, they still do work and that at their level. I wish that you would give your best to the work at your level and that I also wish that you would keep getting the opportunities that you wish for. Best! Shakti Saran

Hair Loss Treatment  in women though do not produce complete baldness but create negative impact, many studies reported stigmatization, lower self confidence in women having visibility of scalp with severe hair loss. Unlike in male baldness where physician can easily take decision about hair restoration surgery, in female making decision about hair restoration is not an easy task. Proper evaluation of hair loss with Dermatologist, Trichologist and regular treatment for at least one year is required prior to planning Hair restoration surgery.

10824437463?profile=original

Many medical problems in female eg. Telogen Effluvium, Alopecia areata, Active cicatrecial alopecia and Trichotelomania respond well to medical treatment. The best candidates for Hair restoration in female are patients with diffuse central thinning of the scalp with retention of the frontal fringe of the hair line. Cicatrecial alopecia patient with stabilization of disease process are also good candidates. However in our practice we prefer to do test patch before planning for larger session of FUE hair restoration in cicatrecial alopecia patient. Procedure of FUE hair restoration surgery in women is similar to male. However higher possibility of telogen effluvium which may occur several weeks to month after procedure should be explained to patient and family members.

Risk of permanent loss of existing hair because of shock should also be explained. We have adopted certain guidelines to minimize the possibility of Telogen effluvium.

  • Use of Hypodermic needles rather than using Blades
  • Avoid dense packing
  • Short session (500 to 600 grafts) preferred
  • Minimum use of Tumescence.

http://www.linkedin.com/today/post/article/20130126183946-212158738-is-your-college-going-out-of-business and my comment:

May I help? First, I'm looking for study abroad programs to market in India and it would be great to work with others to help our world.

Now, when I remember going to USA for college from India, I had almost no idea that I would pursue Computer Science. I did have a computer and the Internet during high school years (around 1997) and that I was told by friends that I was the first in my extensive friend circle to have one. Having a computer perhaps gave me some thoughts of doing something professionally with it but I had no specific thought of studying CS. I had enrolled for Electrical Engineering primarily because my dad was himself an Electrical Engineer and that he had a related business (closed now and he also moved into CS) and that I was good enough in Science and Maths with some experience in dad's work and so perhaps had thought that EE would be great for me.

Within first year of college at Georgia Tech including after exploring much by meeting people of several disciplines and also visiting labs and talking to graduate students and professors, I changed to Computer Science and that over a decade, I've worked at some different companies including my own on some different things by applying CS. I still remember a top professor from EE in Robotics and another from Aerospace Engineering who both gave me (a 1st year student) their valuable time in personal appointments to share with me about their fields and the one in Robotics let me explore my interest in robotics by letting me work on a robotics arm at a lab under supervision of a graduate student and the one in Aerospace Engineering had a graduate student take me to lab and show me a helicopter and how the various disciplines come together.

Even though I keep learning online (in fact, I've a page http://slateandchalk.net/learnonline.html to help others learn online who might not be aware of these great resources), I believe that going to physical environments for learning has irreplaceable values. For my entire college years, I had a long distance relationship with my gf (who's ex now) and that even though we expressed greatly by using the technologies, the coming together was just something else. Regarding education systems, I've thought a lot and written a bit over the years. I hope to contribute increasingly to education and I wish that study abroad consulting work would also help me with increasing knowledge, experience, funds and contacts for the same.

I would be doing the study abroad consulting work through my company Jeevika Socii Pvt. Ltd. in New Delhi which currently does recruitment work through its brand Career Partner http://www.careerpartner.in/. Jeevika in Sanskrit means what one does for a living and Socii in Latin means Allies. If there's anything that interests you in doing with me then kindly share with me. Thank You and All the Best! Bugger that word... perfect. Perfect is a state of mind. How about rather than focusing on that, let's look at the first two words... Self Discipline.

Self discipline is the driving force to practice. You have to be willing to focus on achieving and surpassing your goals and nothing else when engaged in the practice. Everybody has their passion. For me, martial arts fills that gap. I've been at it now for over 30 years. At this point honestly self discipline has gone a bit lax. I practice now because it's what I do, but the only time my self discipline to train really kicks in is when I'm doing something new. The material I teach is so engrained in my mind and body... I admit, I slip a bit.

BUT... on the new stuff to learn and do... ooooohhhhh... razor focus comes back, hard edged training mentality surfaces. Nothing else matters except what I am doing exactly at that moment.

Last night in my Chen Taiji Quan class, that showed up happily again. After performing warm ups and a bit of tui shou (Push hands), we performed the Yi Lu (first road or form) routine. We picked two movements to practice. There's a total of four motions. So for the next 90 minutes, I gladly & happily did four motions. Over. And over. And over. Then we grabbed a partner practiced for a while longer.

I left sweaty, a little sore and feeling more fulfilled than when I walked in. Was it an endorphin dump? Yeah sure. Was it self centered accomplishment? Yep. You betcha. Was a light cardio workout? Got that too... More than anything, it was the overriding sense of self discipline radiating. That sense of right then, right there, my focus and determination to do a thing was sharper and more pointed than any other time during my day. I could have done anything, literally anything, better than I normally could at that time.

Now the next thing to do... increase that self discipline arena to more than just one aspect of daily life.

But as with everything practiced... ONE STEP AT A TIME!

Important Technique of Shot put - Rotational

Shot put is a game which is actually demanding and hence, one must go through a warm up meeting before playing the actual game. The warm up session can include exercises such as skipping, running and make bigger which can help to loosen the muscles of the player and get him ready for the exhausting activity.

The rotational shot put technique is a complex one and is normally effort by the experts in the game. In this method, the athlete throwing the shot has to place his important leg at the middle of the ring. The other leg swings and turn the body and when it is planted, the other leg do again the same process. After this the participant throws off the shot.
Shot put Technique
Proper shot put techniques can be learned by taking education in this game from a reputed coach. Any one can rules the glide and the spin technique with regular carry out and hard work. Try to growth your show at every spirited event to become a good shot put player.
Young competitors, other than start shot putters, will obviously settle to the more direct glide technique. Most world class male throwers like Christian Cantwell use the rotational shot put technique. For example, the shot put throwing circle is smaller, requiring a tighter turn. But the main difference contains the implement itself. While the discus is held at the end of an extensive throwing arm, the shot ruins close to the thrower’s neck near the middle of the rotation creating steadiness more difficult.

I wrote this yesterday: I just got my nephew an infra-red gun having target as a turntable with lights and music. Using my iPhone, I've made some videos of him and a girl of six years visiting him. She said "yeh game achcha hai" (this game is nice) and "iss gun se kisi ke car ke tire ko shoot karna hai..." (have to shoot someone's car's tire with this gun). My iPhone is having issues and its battery even ran out once while making the video although the video got saved after I plugged it into my laptop and it turned on after charging for a short while. I've to figure out how to transfer the videos to my laptop so that I can upload it because even though it's connected to my laptop, I'm unable to browse it.

Today, November 25th is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. I knew that some people were going to visit my relatives (I'm visiting them) to meet a relative visiting from Canada, however, I didn't know that a six year old girl would also visit. She and my nephew are playing with it and it seems with a lot of interest. I've showed them a few things so that they can do it well enough.

I wish our men and women a safe and secure life. There are pigs and tigers and many other animals and then there are humans. What should be our fight as humans? Indian in general kaisa? Kya waisa jaisa hawaa, paani aur khaana in general uska? Aur yeh sab ki quality kiske jaisi? I wish us best!

Hi All,

Yesterday someone mentioned to some people that he wants to get motivated back into the LESMILLS BODYCOMBAT class and that he had been highly regular with it before. I mentioned that he could've hit a plateau and that then shared some things on which someone else mentioned that whether I had a read a book because what I was mentioning was very similar to the book. I told him that I haven't, however, I had once hit a plateau and that then my martial arts teacher had shared about it with me on which I've thought and worked on by myself since then. One thing of difference between the book and me according to the person was that I had mentioned that when in a plateau, be in and enjoy it and also try to come out of it simultaneously whereas the book didn't mention about coming out of it simultaneously. The person mentioned that he would scan and send me the pages of the book which mentions plateau which is very kind of him and that I gave him my card having my www.personalfoldersoftware.com web-site on it for my contact details.

Also, I'm sharing this http://ezine.kungfumagazine.com/ezine/article.php?article=767 which mentions:

As I was once told by a very wise teacher, "If you find yourself on a plateau, sit back and enjoy the view." Plateaus in martial arts are often inevitable, so if you want to continue your training, you will have to manage it in some way. However, it is important for you to understand that being stuck is just another opportunity for you to rub against the tough spots. Because after enough rubbing and polishing those tough spots, you can be certain they will eventually become smooth enough for you to slide right off your plateau.

Best!

Hi All,

I'd like to thank Ms. Richa Sharma to consent for the interview with the Health and Fitness India network. Our Q&A are as follows:

1. Why did you decide to enter the fitness industry?

I was always a fitness enthusiast and I realized that in most of the gyms I went to, there were no properly qualified trainers. Most of their methods were outdated and non-scientific. Most of the trainers have been focusing on body-building rather than overall fitness. As a result the desired results were rare or limited. Sometimes I used to get nagging injuries as well. It was a continuous journey rather than a single incident and exploration of exercising concepts that made me aware of proper training methods. Once I achieved what I wanted, I decided to turn it into a career and help other people.

2. What are your specialties as a fitness professional?

• Handle the progression and transition of all the clients into new, more effective exercises.

• Make exercise programs based on specific, customized needs and goals.

• Create and implement complete and individualized time based programs which include weight goals, diet specifications and menus, physical training and exercise, and lifestyle changes.

• Focus on motivation and program adherence.

• Correct assessment of posture deviations and prescribing correct and safe rectification methods.

3. What's a great piece of advise that you've given to a client?

One of my clients is a middle aged woman. She had not worked out or had any kind of exercise in many years. The moment she joined a gym, she expected immediate results. Also just by looking at other regular gym goers, she started to expect the same fitness level as those members. I had to tell her to be patient and consistent with her workouts as one cannot undo the damage caused by several years of unhealthy lifestyle, instantly. Its important to work on strong foundation and to start with modest, short term goals.

4. Can you please share any major mistakes that fitness professionals make?

Trainers sometimes introduce too much too early, without even working on the basic movements in order to impress the client. This can sometime lead to injuries. If a client is de-conditioned, before introducing movement patterns, trainers should first work on stability and mobility training.

5. Where do you see yourself professionally in the next five and ten years from now?

I would like to educate myself more. Since obesity is like an epidemic now I would like to complete "Lifestyle and Weight Management" certification. I want to reach out to more people who are in need of expert guidance and want to promote Fitness as a Lifestyle habit. Also I have started my own Facebook page called "Quickfit by Richa Sharma" through which I am regularly posting Fitness updates and facts.

Her professional and contact details:

• ACE (American Council on Exercise) certified personal trainer. Certificate No. - T160334

• PIA (Pilates Institute of America) Certification

• Attended and completed “Training the Core” webinar by exercise physiologist Pete McCall, one of the founders of ACE IFT model.

• Successfully completed ACE IFT (Integrated Fitness Training) model.

• International Red Cross CPR

• Kettle bell workshop with Steve Cotter

• Completed a continuing education program with ACE on "Fitness and Menopause"
